Populism in the rhetoric of individual opposition politicians trying to please the West through anti -Russian statements, causes damage to our country. The consequences of such statements are felt by farmers, tourism sector and exporters.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlyut Chavushoglu stated, commenting on the statements of the opposition candidate for president Kemal Kylychdaroglu in Antalya to maintain a restriction regime for Moscow.
The minister asked the questions: “What benefits will Turkey and directly to the residents of Antalya have sanctions against the Russian Federation? Do those who make anti -Russian promises think about tourism and exporters?”
“Sometimes they ask me: how does foreign policy affect ordinary citizens? There is a good example,” said Chavusholu.
According to him, [due to anti-Russian statements by Kylychdaroglu], a decrease in the influx of tourists from Russia is already fixed today, some of whom are postponing recreation plans in Turkey for the period after the second round of the elections.
