Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlyut Chavushoglu said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not against direct negotiations with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. This, as reported by CNN, Chavushoglu said at a press conference in Antalya after the tripartite meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Russia and Turkey.
“It is said that Zelensky is ready for such a meeting and Putin in principle not against. Putin also reported to President Erdogan about this idea,” the diplomat said.
