Turkey is not going to abandon a balanced foreign policy, which is today one of the foundations of trust in official Ankara. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu, speaking on Thursday in the southern province of Antalya.
As an example, the head of diplomacy attracted attention to the situation in Ukraine, where the war has been going on for more than a year.
“It is no accident that the parties to the conflict in Ukraine turned to Ankara and on the issues of the exchange of prisoners, as well as the situation around the ZAES. All this is an indicator of confidence in Turkey,” said Chavushoglu.
According to him, Turkey is a member of NATO, and this priority for Ankara has remained at all times the country’s national interests. “We will not give up a balanced policy, only in order to please someone,” the Turkish minister emphasized.
Chavushoglu noted that Ankara retains a fundamental position in the issue of supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and does not recognize the Russian annexation of the Crimea Peninsula.
