Chad sharply reacted to statements by French President Emmanuel Macron that African leaders forgot to thank his country for efforts in the fight against terrorism in the Sachel region.
In particular, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the official representative of the Chada, Abderaman Kulamalllah, commenting on Macron, accused him of dismissive attitude towards Africa and the African people.
“French leaders need to learn to respect the African people,” Kulamalllah advised.
He recalled that Chad played a key role in the liberation of France.
“The victims made by the African peoples of France during the Second World War were never appreciated,” said the Foreign Minister.
Kulamalllah emphasized that the army of the child was created without French support, and thanks to the courage of the people and modest resources.
France did not provide substantial support for the child’s army, and its contribution was generally limited to its own strategic interests without any long -term influence on the development of the Chad, ”he added.
