In the Turkish city of Kodzhaeli, the Karate Championship among children, organized by the Turkish Federation of Karate, started.
Competitions are held in the sports complex named after a martyr Police Recep Topalogla.
The tournament involves 3,500 young athletes from 61 city and 392 clubs from all over the country. Competitions will last 4 days and end on April 13th.
According to the Chairman of the Federation Erjuent Tashdemir in an interview with Anadola, the winners of the tournament will receive the right to represent Turkey at the Karate Balkan Championship among children, which will be held in Greece from May 30 to June 1.
Participants aged 8 to 14 years old compete in the categories “Minions” and “Asterles” in such disciplines as Kata and Kumite.
