China closed its airspace for Boeing and Airbus aircraft of Russian air carriers registered in two jurisdictions, two sources of RBC said
One of the sources of RBC explains the ban by the fact that in May of China, all airlines asked, not only Russian ones, to update electronic dossiers (portfolio; there contains information about aircraft, airline owners, treaties for ground service).
The request of such portfolio is a standard procedure, the source indicates, but recently adjustments were made in China to it. Russian carriers flying to China updated information, but China’s authorities requested confirming data that imported aircraft of Russian carriers were officially removed from registration abroad. Airlines could not submit such documents. Therefore, Chinese aviation, observing international aircraft consumption, refused flights on such aircraft.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, now the requirements for “cleanliness” of aircraft from the point of view of registration are presented by other countries. As an example, the interlocutor cited Turkey, which refuses permissions for flights to this country or through its airspace to “double registration” aircraft (aircraft forcibly registered in Russia – ed.).
The fact that China made such a decision earlier, with reference to the country’s aviation, Global Link Logistics also reported. Another logistics operator, Optimal, said that he received information about the abolition of all flights of airlines “Air TU” and IFLY from China. In the unofficial comments that he cited, it was said that the planes “ceased to meet the requirements of ICAO/IAT”, “no permits for the use of air corridors.”
