The Chinese authorities banned local celebrities to “brag wealth” or “extravagant pleasures” on social networks.
According to the statement of the Chinese Internet Regulatory Agency, Celebrity Accounts and Fan Clubs must “follow public order and good nravam, adhere to the right orientation of public opinion and values, promote basic socialist values and maintain a healthy lifestyle and taste,” writes Business Insider .
Officials are against celebrity scandals and fans in the network, which, according to them, cause social riots.
Stars were also forbidden to distribute rumors, publish false or private information, provoke fans with “verbal attacks on each other” and encourage to participate in “illegal fundraising of funds or irrational investments.”
