Chinese companies captured the Russian truck market, Kommersant writes with reference to the data of Avtostat agency.
According to data, by mid -July, the total share of Chinese brands in the truck segment of 3.5 tons reached 44% and went around Russian manufacturers whose share fell to 43%. Moreover, the share of Chinese trucks is growing rapidly. According to the results of June, it amounted to only 31%, and by mid -July – already 44%, while the share of Russian companies for a similar segment decreased from 53%to 43%. Among the brands, the leader of the segment is still the Russian KAMAZ, which in June sold 2.3 thousand cars against 973 trucks of the Chinese brand Shacman. At the same time, KamAZ sales in comparison with the pre -war period fell by 28.3%, and Chinese – increased by almost 250%. Avtostat notes that other Chinese brands have similar sales dynamics.
