Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are preparing to revise agreements in the field of social security.
According to Moldovan media, representatives of the departments of both countries discussed issues of providing the right to a pension by age, disability and on the occasion of loss of the breadwinner, as well as in case of accidents in the production and occupational diseases of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, permanently residing in the territory of another countries.
According to the National Cash Count of Social Insurance of Moldova (NKSS), the agreement in the field of social security will replace the norms provided for in the agreement on guaranteeing the rights of citizens in the field of pension provision signed on August 29, 1995 between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Ukraine, as well as in Agreement on the transfer and mutual payment of pensions signed on October 23, 1998 between the Social Fund of the Republic of Moldova and the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The negotiation group from the Republic of Moldova included representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NKSS and the National Council to determine disability and disability.
