Rating Approval of the work of British British Prime Minister Boris Johnson fell to a record low for all the time staying at the head of the government against the background of the scandal with a Christmas party, which was held at Downing Street last year during Lokdanun. This is reported by the Sociological Institute YouGov.
According to the polling of the institute, two thirds (66%) of the British public is currently negative about Johnson and only a quarter (24%) – positively. The remaining respondents did not determine their attitude to the premiere.
is the lowest figure for the British Premier from the moment of moving to Downing Street in July 2019.
Prime Minister’s office staff, as previously wrote British media, organized a Christmas party in December last year, when there were tough restrictive measures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Johnson himself attended the party.
Johnson initially said that there was no partin, but on December 8, speaking in the House of Commons, promised to check in connection with the incident.
On the evening of December 11, the Mirror Edition published a photo with Johnson during a quiz, which, according to the publication, was on Downing Street on December 15 last year, that is, three days before the scandalous party. In the photo, the prime minister is captured by the table next to two colleagues. Commenting on a photo, a representative of the British government said: “It was a virtual quiz. Dowuning Street staff often needed to be in the office to work on responding to a pandemic, so those who were in the office office could be present virtually, from their jobs “.
