The Central Intelligence Department (CIA) of the United States has become interested in real estate that Russians acquire in Turkey. The department threatened local business with serious consequences for communication with Russia, writes Yeni Safak.
The sources of the publication said that at meetings with representatives of local construction companies, the CIA representative in Turkey openly threatened businessmen. He was outraged that Russian citizens began to actively buy real estate in Turkish cities without any problems.
“One CIA representative asked the businessmen who represent the construction sector the following questions:” How many housing did you sell to Russians? “,” In what currency did you pay for the houses sold? “,” What channels did you pay? “,” Received? “,” Received? “,” Received? “,” Are you cash or through a bank? ”, Source told reporters.
This is not the first threat to Turkish business from the American side. On August 22, the US Department of Finance sent a letter to Turkish business association Tusiad, which warned about the consequences for cooperation with Russia.
The first Deputy Minister of Finance of the United States, Advale Adeemo, who signed this letter, met in Ankara with Turkish colleague Unus Eliatash on June 23. It was reported that officials were discussing financial crimes.
