CIA ex-head: United States may encounter a new “September 11th Tirrorist attack”

The former head of the US State Department and the Central Intelligence Directorate (CIA), Mike Pompeo, said that America would be faced with a new attack on September 11, 2011 (terrorist attack in the World Commercial Center) due to the catastrophic departure of American troops from Afghanistan last year.

In an interview on Sunday, August 28, Pompeo criticized Biden for how the United States left the country’s torn -by war.

“Today there is a possibility of an attack from Afghanistan than before. A year has passed with the fact that everyone saw with their own eyes: the Afghans clung to American planes when we ran away from there,” said Pompeo.

According to him, this fiasco put the United States in an awkward position on the world stage, made it less safe and convinced Putin that he could start a war in Ukraine.

Recall that in August last year, American troops left Afghanistan after 20 years of stay in this country. During the withdrawal, 13 American troops were killed by ISIS terrorist near Kabul Airport.
