Deputies of the Senate (Upper House of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan) approved the Law “On ratification of the agreement on cooperation of the states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Combating Corruption”, reports Kazinform.
According to deputy Kairat Tastkeev, an agreement on the cooperation of the CIS participants was signed in Astana on October 14, 2022 by the heads of Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
“The agreement provides for cooperation in the following areas: providing assistance in cases of corruption crimes and offenses, conducting joint operational -search measures, detention and issuance of persons who committed corruption crimes, search and return of corruption revenues, creating and using special information systems,” said the senator.
In addition, other cooperation measures are also provided: advanced training of personnel, exchange of experience in legal regulation in the field of counteracting corruption, exchange of anti -corruption monitoring results, development of programs and plans for counteracting corruption.
