CIS Countries Will Develop Concept Of Military Cooperation Until 2030

CIS countries will develop a draft concept of military cooperation until 2030, this is important in the current geopolitical situation, said the Secretary General of the CIS Sergey Lebedev at the 12th meeting of secretaries of security councils of the CIS countries in Moscow.

According to him, now there is an exacerbation and emergence of new armed conflicts around the world, as well as bloc and interstate confrontations growing due to the desire of the United States and NATO to dominate other countries.

Against the backdrop of an aggravation of the geopolitical situation in the world, members of the Commonwealth of Independent States have already begun to develop the concept of cooperation in the military sector until 2030, the Secretary General of the organization said.

“It is obvious that in the current situation an important stabilizing factor is to build up cooperation in the field of military security. We begin the development of a project of the concept of military cooperation until 2030, in which we denote clear priorities and new landmarks on the medium -term perspective,” – quoted Lebedev Russian State Media.

The CIS proceeds from the fact that the combat and tactical and technical training of the armed forces of the participating countries should be carried out on the basis of mutual enrichment of existing practical experience and scientific achievements, he added.

Lebedev added that the purpose of such cooperation is to stabilize the current situation.
