In Moscow, police officers tracked and detained 16 Armenia citizens with the help of video surveillance cameras, who evaded their homeland, Russian media reported.
They were on the interstate wanted list for evasion from urgent service and military training in their country.
Detection was carried out in different areas of the city, mainly at the metro stations.
The youngest was the 18-year-old student of the Moscow Industrial College, and the eldest was a 48-year-old man who lived in the Mytishchi district without registration and did not officially work. The first was wanted only recently – in November 2022, and the second began to be sought back in 2001.
There is also a sabotage at the Synergy college.
Currently, all detainees are in custody in anticipation of a serious punishment. In Armenia under Article 327 of the Criminal Code “Evasion from the undergoing military service, training fees or mobilization” threatens up to 2 years in prison.
