Since September 1, citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can use ID cards for movement in the territory of two countries along with other travel documents.
According to local media, on Friday, August 25, a protocol on amendments to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on mutual trips of citizens entered into force.
The document was signed as part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan on January 26-27,
According to the changes made by the protocol, the same procedure for the simplified border crossing for citizens of both countries is introduced.
In particular, now citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan through an identification ID cards can enter, move and stay in the territory of the two countries up to 60 days.
