Four military personnel of the Border Guard of Pakistan died, six were injured on Wednesday as a result of the terrorist attack on the border with Afghanistan, the Pakistan Today newspaper reports.
The incident occurred in the Manzakai area in the province of Beluzhistan. Extremists opened fire from the Afghan side, when Pakistani border guards were engaged in the equipment of one of the sections of the two-way border. Four border guards died in place, six were taken to the hospital in the city of Kvette. In extremists from the Pakistani side, a response fire was opened.
Pakistan’s servicemen lead engineering equipment with Afghanistan and the construction of barriers on it in order to curb cross-border terrorism, the penetration of extremists and smuggling to Pakistani territory with the adjacent side. To date, these works are made by 90%.
