In one of the private medical centers of the city of Kirkuk in Iraq in a sacred month for Muslims, Ramazan does not take a fee from patients named after the Prophet Muhammad. According to “Anadol”, the director of the clinic Dr. Hasan Muhammad Kasim, this noble undertaking was organized as a sign of respect for the Prophet.
Dr. Kasim noted that the clinic was opened about 5 years ago and provides services for diagnosis, treatment and laboratory research. He also said that they support large families and orphans living in the area, and in the Holy month Ramazan, patients with the name Muhammad receive medical services for free.
“inspired by love for the Prophet Muhammad, I decided to launch this action. I recently saw it in a dream, and it is impossible to convey the joy and happiness that I experienced. Therefore, when Ramazan came, I decided to start such a practice,” said Dr. Kasim.
All patients with the name Muhammad, regardless of age, receive free consultations, examinations and tests. Kasim also added that they are considering the possibility of continuing this action and after a month Ramazan.
Since the beginning of this initiative for the first days of Ramazan, the clinic received positive reviews from the residents of the district. Kasim emphasized that they are pleased that patients are leaving with a smile, and that this gesture for them is a duty of gratitude to the Prophet Muhammad.
Mahmud Ahmed, a resident of Kirkuk, expressed gratitude for this initiative, noting that the clinic also provides significant discounts for treatment for low -income families and the rest of the year. He wished that this practice continues after the end of the sacred month of Ramazan.
