Chairman of the Sovereign Council of Sudan, commander of the Armed Forces, General Abdulfetta al-Burkhan, appealed to the authorities of South Sudan with a request to organize peaceful negotiations with quick response forces (SBR).
“Juba – the capital of South Sudan, occupies an important place in peace negotiations,” said the special messenger of al -Burkhan Daphallah Alhaja upon arrival in a neighboring country.
According to him, the authorities of Sudan are hoping that the President of Southern Sudan Salva Kiir will be a mediator in the conflict.
The special settlement emphasized that the current conflict is a serious problem for Sudan, and not a single state will benefit from this situation.
Saudi Arabia and the United States previously called for the warring parties in Sudan to make efforts to achieve a ceasefire, form a schedule of negotiations and assistance to humanitarian aid.
Representatives of the Sudanese army and quick response forces (SBR) began preliminary negotiations on May 6 in Gidda.
