The largest in Europe, the Artyemsol company stopped its activities more than a month ago due to the war, as a result of which Ukraine and other countries, including Azerbaijan, may expect salt shortage. This was announced by the director of the enterprise Viktor Yurin, UNIAN reports.
“The enterprise does not work, it is idle, according to the order, until indefinite time. The shelling is permanent, the administrative building was partially destroyed. There were direct hits in mines, material warehouse. The production process is impossible. We will not endanger people. Moreover, the majority of residents of the Soledar , employees of Artemosoli have already been evacuated. Most of the administration workers, engineering and technical workers are not on the spot, ”said Yurin.
Yurin emphasized, the enterprise was stopped in April, because it became impossible to take out finished products from Soledar by rail and added that all the finished products were taken to trading stores in April.
According to him, the stop of Artemsoli will also feel the consumers from Hungary, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Romania.
