The company from the United Arab Emirates signed a contract with Afghanistan to control the air traffic throughout the country, as the Taliban authorities seek to expand international flights.
Although some flights are made from Kabula Airport, large foreign airlines require significant additional support to resume full service, AFP reports.
The full functioning of the capital’s airport, which was destroyed in August last year during the mass evacuation of civilians after the Taliban came to power, is considered as a decisive factor for the revival of the destroyed economy of Afghanistan.
