In Kuwait, following the results of extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 6, a new composition of the government was formed, the Al Qabas newspaper said with reference to the corresponding decree.
Kabmin Kuwait, formed from 15 ministers, was headed by Ahmed Navaf al-Ahmed al-Sabach. The Minister of the Interior was elected Talyal Khaled Al-Ahmed al-Sabach, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-former ambassador of Kuwait to the United States Salem Abdalla al-Jaber al-Sabach.
Ahmed Fahad al-Ahmed al-Sabakh, Minister of Oil and State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investments was appointed Minister of Defense-Saad Hamad al-Barrak.
In March 2023, the Kuwait Constitutional Court recognized as invalid the results of the vote, held in September 2022, and demanded to restore the composition of the parliament chosen in December 2020.
In early May, the Crown Prince Kuwait Sheikh Mashaal al-Ahmed al-Sabach dismissed the parliament and scheduled new elections. Extraordinary elections to the parliament were held on June 6, 12 new deputies out of 50
