Majlis (Parliament) Iran suspended its work against the background of the spread of a new type coronavirus (COVID-19), which 47 parliamentarians infected, said the representative of the Iri Parliament to Nizam Musavi, reports the Tasnim news agency.
“Coronavirus tests gave a positive result of 47 deputies and 30 employees of the apparatus. In this connection, the work of the highest legislative body is suspended. The decision is made taking into account the recommendations of the Iranian Council to combat Coronavirus,” Musavi said.
It is noted that the date of the renewal of the Parliament was not clarified.
