In Kupyansk and Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region of Ukraine, captured by Russian troops in the early days of the war, the evacuation of women and children began, Russian media reports.
The pro -Russian administration said that the cause of evacuation is the shelling from the Ukrainian troops.
The other day, sources on both sides of the conflict, as well as military analysts, announced the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov region, which was not announced in advance.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in the summary of September 7 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had advanced at least 20 kilometers deep into the captured districts north of Izuma towards Kupyansk and repelled an area of about 400 square kilometers. ISW suggests that Ukraine took advantage of the fact that Russia transferred part of the troops from Kharkov to the Kherson region.
Officially, neither the Ukrainian nor the Russian army commented on the counterattack in the Kharkov region. But the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said on September 7 on September 7 that “this week there is good news from the Kharkiv region,” adding that “it is not the time to call certain settlements to which the Ukrainian flag is returning.”
