Food around the world recorded in price due to a pandemic, energy crisis and logistics failures. The increase in world prices for food also contribute to the purchase of food in China, report “Izvestia” with reference to experts.
As the Chinese authorities emphasize, the country has no “absolutely no food problems.” However, analysts note, “China’s insatiable appetite for the procurement of grain leads to a further reduction of the global offer and creates conditions for long-term growth in food prices.”
So, according to the publication, Latin America will suffer, “where widespread inflation led to the increase in prices for most of the goods, and according to the UN, tens of millions of people are undernourished.” Among the potential victims of the crisis are also celebrated Brazil, USA and Canada.
“The accumulation of reserves in China is one of the reasons for the increase in food prices in the world,” says President Tokyo Natural Resource Research Institute Akio Shibata.
