The police station completed the procedures in the case of Vishan Saltamatov, a member of the terrorist organization Deash, who was wanted as part of the investigation conducted by the main prosecutor’s office of Istanbul in connection with the attack on the Church of St. Maria on January 28, 2024. He was detained during the joint operation of the National Intelligence Organization and the Main Security Directorate.
The suspect was taken to the building of the Istanbul court in the Chalai, after the testimony was transferred to the judicial authority with the demand for arrest.
The Criminal Curve court of Istanbul decided to arrest Soltamatov on charges of “membership of an armed terrorist organization”, “deliberate murder” and “an attempt to overthrow the constitutional system.”
