The Baku Court of Appeal examined a complaint about the decision to extend the period of arrest of public activist Bakhtiyar Gadzhiev.
According to haqqin.az, the court did not satisfy the complaint.
January 21, the Khatainsky District Court extended the arrest of Bakhtiyar Gadzhiev until February 28, 2023.
Bakhtiyar Gadzhiev was detained in connection with the criminal case instituted in the Main Directorate of the Baku police under Articles 221 (hooliganism) and 289 (disrespect for the court) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. By the decision of the Khatainsky District Court, a preventive measure in the form of an arrest for a period of 1 month 20 days was chosen in relation to him.
