Appointed today in the Baku Court for grave crimes court hearing in the criminal case of the former head of the executive authority of the Imishlinsky district of William Hajiyev postponed.
According to haqqin.az, the reason was the lack of defenders of the ex-head of the executive authority at court.
Hajiyev opposed the court session without the participation of his defenders, in particular, lawyer Elmar Kerimov.
The judge brought to the attention of the ex-head of IV, which without protection the court session will not be held. However, it was also noted that the lawyers of Hajiyeva deliberately tried to disrupt the court hearing: “Why conclude a contract if no one of the three lawyers come? The court session was postponed until February 18.
Recall that William Hajiyev was detained in May 2020 as a result of the special operation of the state security service. The investigation presented to Hajiyev the accusation of abuse of official position, embezzlement and bribery. William Hajiyev absolutely disagree with the accusations and does not recognize himself guilty.
