Pechersk District Court of Kiev released the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko under a personal commitment to the investigator and to the court on the case of the state inspection. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The former President of Ukraine is a person involved in the criminal case on the supply of Donbass coal in 2014-2015. The case was initiated under the articles “Financing of terrorism”, “State Treason” and “Creating a Terrorist Organization” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Poroshenko faces up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property or without it. At the meeting, a petition was considered to arrest Poroshenko with the possibility of making a pledge of about 35.7 million dollars.
“the court decided to refuse to satisfy the petition (prosecutor’s office). Apply to Poroshenko … measure of restraint in the form of a personal obligation,” said Judge Alexey Sokolov.
Also Poroshenko must pass passports to go abroad.
