The Baku Court of Grave Crimes held a regular trial in the criminal case of Vugar Safarli, the former executive director of the State Media Development Support Fund (abolished), and other accused.
As the HAQQın.az correspondent reports, at the court hearing, chaired by Judge Azer Pashayev, it was announced that one of the accused, Nadir Mamedov was not taken to court. The judge stated that he was transferred to the specialized medical institution of the Ministry of Justice, so the trial was postponed indefinitely.
Recall, Vugar Safarli is accused of assigning funds allocated for the construction of a house for journalists in the Sabail district of Baku. In addition, the former official is accused of assigning large amounts of money allocated to the development of local media.
