COVİD-19 Can Increase Risk Of Heart Attacks And Strokes

Covi̇d-19 virus, people are at risk of heart attacks, strokes and death for three years after infection twice as often than those who were not sick with this disease. This conclusion was reached by scientists from the University of South California, the University of California and the Lerner Research Institute in Ohio.

Scientists have studied medical records of about 250 thousand people in the British medical database Biobank.

Scientists compared the notes of patients with COVİD-19 with records of more than 222 thousand people who did not hurt this disease in the same period.

According to scientists, the risk of a heart attack, stroke and death in the people who have suffered COVİD-19 over the next three years twice the indicators of those who have not suffered this disease.

Scientists noted that the risk of a heart attack, stroke and death for those who have been ill with Covi̇d-19 and were hospitalized because of it did not decrease over time.

At the same time, scientists could not explain the cause of such a long-term impact of the virus on the cardiovascular system of the body.
