Criminal case of deceased ex-deputy Dzhabrailov was completed

In the Baku court for serious crimes, the lawsuit in the criminal case of ex-deputy of Milli Majlis Rafael Dzhabrailov ended.

According to haqqin.az, the sentence was read out at the meeting, according to which the charges were proved during the court investigation.

Since Dzhabrailov died, he was not sentenced, and the criminal case was terminated without acquittals.

Note that Rafael Dzhebrailov himself was arrested in 2020 for fraud. The Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General conducted a preliminary investigation in a criminal case instituted under the relevant articles of the Azerbaijan Criminal Code in connection with the illegal actions of the former deputy of the III, IV and V convocations of the Milli Majlis Rafael Jabrailov. The investigation established reasonable suspicions that Rafael Dzhebrailov, being a deputy of the Milli Majlis, assigned 11 people for a total of 2 million 571 thousand manat by fraud. He died of coronavirus in the medical institution of the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice in September last year.
