In 2020, 282 facts of crimes related to human trafficking were revealed in Azerbaijan. This is stated in the statistics of the Main Directorate of Combating Trafficking in Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
155 of them were associated with human trafficking, 5 – with forced labor, 40 facts of illegal actions with documents for trafficking in persons, 49 facts of involvement in prostitution, 1 case of involvement of minors in prostitution, 3 cases of children’s pornography, 21 cases Content content, 4 cases of coercion to sexual action, 4 cases of illegal distribution of pornographic materials.
52 people were sentenced to criminal responsibility. 21 of them-merchants people. The number of victims of trafficking in persons was 94 people.
