The Ministry of Health of Georgia made an emergency statement. The unprecedented growth of the EPIDE Epidemistry caused a shortage of beds in hospitals and the Ministry of Health went to the forced measure – the opening of field hospitals in Tbilisi.
The first hospital is designed for 500 seats, it is equipped in one of the Gyms of the Olympic Village in the Digomi area, the head of the Ministry of Health of Ekaterina Tikaradze said.
Currently, experts work on the infrastructure so that all the beds are supplied with oxygen. She noted that the Ministry of Health does everything to ensure that the field hospital in Tbilisi was used only in the extreme case. At the same time, the Ministry of Health is already working as a question of deploying field hospitals throughout the country. At the same time, negotiations with the Red Cross are going to attract volunteers and specialists.
