Rocketsan General Director Murat Ikindzhi announced that the SunGur submitted last year will be adapted to Turkey’s Navy requirements, Turkish media reported.
“SunGur CRKK will provide protection for troops from helicopters, UAV and barragging opponent’s ammunition. SunGur, which our company integrated into the armored vehicle module, is capable of promptly in seconds to ensure airless protection at remote territories. In parallel, we also plan to integrate SUNGUR in the Military Modules Ship, “said Murat Ikindi.
SUNGUR PriKi developed ROKETSAN with the participation of other Turkish manufacturers. The rocket can be launched from a mobile platform with a 360-degree rotation. The complex has the ability to detect, identify and track the objectives in the day and night. Its foundation is a rocket from the portable anti-aircraft missile complex of the Turkish production of PorsAV (Portatif Savunma). Rocketsan and Aselsan participated in its development.
SunGur complex was first introduced in July 2020 on VURAN armored car platform after successful testing.
Maximum Rocket Rocket Rocket – 8 km, height is 4 km. The head of the rocket uses a thermal imaging (infrared) of the imagine infra-red (IIR) type of homing. The complex itself is classified as the Fourth Generation CRKK.
