The US Federal Commission (FCC) has approved the rules for which the sale and import of equipment that pose a threat to US national security is prohibited. “Voice of America” reports that this ban is sales and import of equipment of Chinese companies Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corp and Hytera Communications.
Information from the fact that the FCC intends to stop issuing permits for new telecommunication equipment of Chinese companies Huawei Technologies and ZTE for reasons of national security, appeared in October. The discussion of new rules has been going on over the past two years.
In March 2021, five Chinese companies were included in the list of companies that threaten US National Security in accordance with the 2019 Law aimed at protecting American communication networks: Huawei Technologies, ZTE, Hytera Communications, Hangzhu Hikvision Digital Technology and Zhejian Technology Co. In 2022, FCC added to the same list the Russian company Kaspersky Laboratory.
