In the city of Almaty, the IV meeting of the Coordinating Council of authorized bodies of the state -members of the Organization of Collective Security (CSTO) on biological security issues was held. This was reported by the press service of the CSTO.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Sultangaziev and the delegations of the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and representatives of the CSTO Secretariat.

The heads of delegations of the member states exchanged views on the situation in the field of biological security in the CSTO space and the interaction of the competent authorities in this area, including mutual assistance in the fight against the distribution and prevention of biological security calls and threats.
The meeting participants agreed to prepare a joint analysis of the situation in the field of biological security in the CSTO area of responsibility.
In a number of issues discussed, the course of the implementation of the plan of measures to ensure biological safety for the period 2024 – 2025 was considered.
The chairmen in the coordination council of authorized bodies of the CSTO member states on biological security issues from January 1, 2025 is transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic, in connection with which the next meeting is planned to be held on its territory.
