Damascus International Airport will open for international flights on January 7th. This was announced by the head of the Civil Aviation and Air Transportation Committee of Syria, Ashhead Salibi in an interview for the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
Salibi noted that preparatory work is currently ongoing to resume operations at Aleppo and Damascus airports. “With the help of our partners, we ensure that these airports are able to accept flights from around the world,” he added.
After the restoration of activity, December 18, the first passenger flight that flew out of Damascus Airport landed at Aleppo Airport.
