The name of the new leader of the ruling in the UK Conservative Party and the Prime Minister of the country will be known on September 5, the nomination of candidates will begin and end on July 12. This was announced by Graham Breedi, the head of the parliamentary committee of 1922, uniting ordinary parliamentarians of Tory and responsible for the process of choosing the next party leader, reports TASS.
“The result should be announced on September 5, this will happen when the parliament returns from the summer holidays,” he said.
Officially, the nomination of candidates will be held on July 12, the next day the first round of voting on the candidature for leadership in the party was appointed. The second round will probably take place on July 14th. The wings of candidates must be completed until July 21. After that, only two applicants should remain on the lists, the fate of which will no longer be determined by deputies of the House of Commons, but ordinary members of the conservative party.
