Presidential elections in Turkey will be held on June 18, 2023, said the head of the Ministry of Justice of the country Bekir Bozdag.

“Elections of the President of Turkey will be held on June 18, 2023. They will be the second elections in which our president [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] will run for,” the minister said in an interview with the newspaper Miliyet.
Universal (presidential and parliamentary) elections in Turkey, according to local law, are held on the same day and are originally scheduled for June 2023. The ruling “People’s Alliance” previously announced that their unified candidate will be the current president of Erdogan. The opposition represented by a block of six parties has not yet called her applicant.
