The Minister of Internal Affairs of Portugal Eduardo Cabrite resigned due to an accident involving a government car in which he was located, as a result of the incident, the road repairman was killed, reports The Guardian.
Cabrites quit almost five months after the incident. He was repeatedly called for resigning, but the minister refused to do this, said that “was just a passenger” in the car than the indignation of society caused.
This position of the minister has become even more unacceptable after the official statement of the prosecutor’s office – his driver was accused of murder by negligence. It exceeded speed and drove on a 43-year-old road repairman.
On December 3, Cabrite said that he was resigned, the Prime Minister of Portugal took the resignation of the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the same day.
