In the province of Ardakhan, in the northeast of Turkey, the last “deadly” flight of the shadows – insects, which are also called “May flies” ended. The “deadly flight” of the shadows lasted within a week.
The accumulation of insects this year was mainly observed in the area of the Kura River. In addition, they were seen near the fortress in Ardakhan and the district of the city stadium.
The townspeople for several days observed with interest the insects that were especially noticeable against the background of electric lamps in the dark.
The fleeting flight of insects, lasting about half an hour, ends with their death.
