The Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency Goshgar Tahmazli met with the deputy head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) Anton Karmazin.
AQTA reported Haqqin.az that during the meeting, Tahmazli informed the Russian delegation about the work of ensuring the safety of plant products produced in Azerbaijan, control measures taken.
It was noted that the cooperation between the relevant departments of the two countries is at a high level. The parties discussed the continuation of the work for bilateral agreements signed between the parties, the expansion of interdepartmental interaction in the field of quality and safety of food, veterinary and phytosanitary products, and the exchange of experience in this area. It was also agreed to study the prospects of sustainable development of these relations and carry out joint measures.
Note that the purpose of the visit of the Russian delegation to Azerbaijan is to familiarize themselves with the measures taken to ensure the safety of plant products exported to Russia, the system of control of pesticides and agricultural chemicals in Azerbaijan, the exchange of experience in these areas.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Central Phytosanitarian Laboratory of the Azerbaijani Institute of Food Safety, Khachmaz Regional Testing Laboratory, as well as various fruits and vegetable production enterprises and logistics centers.
