Delegations of ruling parties in Turkey and Azerbaijan held meeting in Shusha

In the cultural capital of Azerbaijan – the city of Shusha, on Thursday, an international conference was held on the topic “Azerbaijani -Turkish relations of strategic cooperation: from salvation to victory” dedicated to the second anniversary of the signing of the Shushinsky declaration.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey (PSR) Binaly Yildirm noted that thanks to the declaration signed in Shush, the relations of Ankara and Baku were taken to the level of strategic partnership.

Yyldyram in his speech drew attention to the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.

According to him, a lot in the issue of normalizing ties in the region depends on Armenia.

The representative of the ruling party of Turkey emphasized that the ethnic Armenians inhabiting the Karabakh economic district of Azerbaijan should accept realities and integrate into the Azerbaijani society. “This will be a serious step towards normalizing the situation in the South Caucasus,” he said.

Yyldyrym at the same time emphasized the inadmissibility of the presence of illegal Armenian armed groups in the territories of Azerbaijan.

“Turkey from the very beginning morally and politically supported Azerbaijan and this position will continue,” he assured.

The deputy head of the PSR Afan Ala, in turn, noted that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations are based on a solid foundation.

Deputy Chairman, Head of the Central Apparatus of the Party “Enzerbaijan” Tair Budagov, for his part, noted that the moral and political support of brotherly Turkey played an exceptional role in the victory of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh war.

Special representative of the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev in Shush Aydin Kerimov informed the conference participants on the reconstruction and revival of the historical Azerbaijani city.
