At a meeting organized between Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan, various issues related to customs and regional trade were discussed.
The statement published by the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi said that the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey Szezai Uchirmak and the delegation accompanying him took part in the meeting of the Trilateral Committee on Customs issues held in the capital of Georgia Tbilisi.
The statement notes that the officials of the three countries held various consultations and discussed the development of cooperation to facilitate transit through the customs gates opening in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
“As part of the meeting, electronic exchange of information was discussed to ensure the effectiveness of the Baku-Tbilisi-Carce railway and facilitate customs procedures, discussions were held on an increase in regional trade and transit potential,” the statement said.
The message notes that two -way meetings were held between the three countries to improve cooperation on customs issues, as well as a meeting of the students with Turkish businessmen at the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi.
