Ukraine is experiencing a “logistics nightmare” when the western weapons were delivered to the troops to the front line, writes The Wall Street Journal.
The publication notes that now more modern and effective Western long -range artillery guns enter the battle. However, their development has become a serious problem, since different samples are acted in small batches. “The current approach, in which each country transfers batteries in parts, quickly turns into a logistics nightmare for Ukrainian forces, since each battery requires a separate system of training, maintenance and logistics,” the London Royal Institute of United Arms.
noted.
Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use the M777 howitzers from the USA, Australia and Canada, as well as self -propelled artillery, such as Caesar from France, PZH 2000 from Germany, American M109 and AHS Krab from Poland. “None of these systems have anything in common … Munition should be interchangeable and so on. But this is not so,” expert Jack Wagling emphasized.
Analyst Rand Corp. Scott Boston notes that Ukraine gave not just different types of weapons. She needs to learn how to treat him in a short time, as well as serve him. “When you switch to the platforms of non -establishment origin, you have to deal with many things that have not been in the game before. Many of the Soviet heritage are cars that you repair with a hammer and a wretched key, gross force, lubrication and prayer,” he added .
