The attacks of the M23 led to diplomatic tension between the DRC and Rwanda. On January 26, the DRC recalled all its diplomats from Rwanda and completely broke off the relationship between the two countries.
M23, also known as the “Congolese Revolutionary Army”, which arose after the rupture of the peace agreement on March 23, 2009, was formed from representatives of the President Rwanda Paul Kagama – Tutsi.
