Denmark will support Finland’s rapid accession to NATO, the country’s Prime Minister Mette Fredericksen said on Thursday.
“The decisive statements of the president and Prime Minister of Finland. Denmark, of course, will sincerely welcome Finland in NATO … Denmark will do everything possible to support the quick process of submitting an application after an official statement,” said Fredericksen’s statement published on Twitter of the government Denmark.
Earlier, President and Head of Government of Finland Sauli Ninistu and Sanna Marin published a joint statement that states that the country should submit an application for joining NATO.
