At the ceremony on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day organized by the British Embassies and the European Union on December 9 in Baku, the Deputy Ambassador of Great Britain in Azerbaijan Philip Barclay spoke about violence in Azerbaijan.
According to Turan, the diplomat recalled two statements of the UK diplomsses with the conviction of the murder of Sevinj Merramova, who became a victim of domestic violence.
Next Barclay quoted the application of the embassy, which condemned the beating of the public figure of Tocili Yagulla.
He also reminded the recent fact of parental violence over two children.
“Why do such scary things happen in society as our social services can prevent them from? How to do to prevent such things in the future? We must find answers to these difficult questions.”
