Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ambassador Burak Akchapar and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Alexander Papadopul, as part of a political dialogue, met in Ankara.
A written statement widespread by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that the Deputy Minister Akchapar and his Greek colleague papadopul had another meeting as part of a political dialogue.
The document says that during negotiations various aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, as well as regional and international issues.
“Both parties confirmed their joint commitment to the development of the current positive atmosphere in the field of bilateral and international cooperation in accordance with the Athenian Declaration, signed by the leaders of the two countries in December last year in Athens,” the message says.
The statement emphasizes that during the meeting, preparations for the visit of the Prime Minister of Greece Kiriyakos Mitsikithaw to Turkey were also discussed and the development of events was evaluated, including a wide aspect of bilateral relations.
